Dental Front Office Manager

Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Dental Front Office Manager. This position is a full-time, within the Dental Department, working at our 1021 Broadway location.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train staff on administrative tasks including check in/check out process and procedure, completing documents and forms, obtaining case histories, verifying insurance coverage., creating referrals, conducting prior authorizations and processing mail/invoices
  • Maintain and transmit correspondence or medical records, by mail, email, or fax.
  • Receive and route messages or documents (laboratory results, referrals, etc ) to appropriate staff members or external organizations as needed.
  • Provide all tasks and responsibilities of front office team members to provide coverage and ensure consistent patient care.
  • Ensure all patient care is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical outcomes, quality assurance standards, state/local regulations, and patient satisfaction.
  • Review and analyze dental office processes to improve the delivery of services
  • Have a working knowledge of how to operate within the Dentrix EMR system, dental regulations and compliance within the dental system, Department of Health and HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) standards.
  • Model, monitor and hold staff accountable to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
  • Establish efficiencies within office processes to identify, implement and manage all aspects of annual and competency trainings for direct reports
  • Ability to be a leader who can take direction from a supervisor and provide direction to others.
  • Hold direct reports accountable to standards of patient care, attendance, following workflow procedures and team collaboration.
  • Conduct 30, 60, 90 day and annual performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Optimize schedule and identify discrepancies to increase patient access to care
  • Scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes
  • Manage patient surveys to ensure that staff captures information and processes as directed for reporting purposes
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings, service evaluations and service planning and development.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office to prepare spreadsheets and other reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, or medical records as needed
  • Ensure all actions, personal conduct, and communications represent the organization professionally.
  • Uphold and ensure compliance to all policies/procedures, mission, and organizational values.
  • With demonstrated maturity, provide conflict resolution mediation, collaboration and team building opportunities among direct reports.
Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of professional experience managing a team in a healthcare or dental clinic.
  • Solid knowledge base of dental practices and procedures within the primary care environment.
  • Demonstrated ability and familiarity with tools, technology, and systems found within health care environments, such as basic computer skills and Electronic Medical Records, with preferred experience in Medent and Dentrix
  • Possession of high school diploma or GED BA in business administration or healthcare preferred
Salary: $60,000 - 65,000 Salary. Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
