SUMMARY:
Under supervision of Dentist or manager, functions as a dental chair assistant and office assistant. And, can perform additional tasks as is allowed under NYS law for Licensed Dental Assistants
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare dental supplies necessary for each patient; anticipate dentist needs for instrumentation and materials during the procedural treatment on the patient; assist with x-rays, fillings and positioning suction tubes
Clean and sterilize all dental instruments following proper procedures
Maintain all patient records and update as necessary

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) - Dental Assistant National Board (DANB), Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) - NYSED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
