Your Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you'll assist the dentist during procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and support administrative tasks to ensure an efficient dental practice.
  • Take and develop radiographs in accordance with Mississippi State Board guidelines
  • Sterilize dental instruments and follow all infection control protocols
  • Set up dental trays and prepare rooms for treatment
  • Assist during dental procedures and document patient care in charts
  • Provide oral hygiene education to patients and promote preventative care
  • Complete patient health histories and maintain accurate records
  • Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and make patient reminder calls
  • Prophy teeth if requested by the dentist
  • Monitor and order supplies, keeping operatory stocked and organized
  • Ensure all equipment is well maintained and fully operational
  • Maintain documentation logs and follow CFHC and Joint Commission policies
  • Uphold Core Principles and Code of Conduct at all times
  • Perform other duties as required
What You Bring to the Table
  • High school diploma or GED - Required
  • State of Mississippi radiograph permit - Required
  • Experience in a dental office or equivalent setting - Preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift during the workday
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care to individuals from all backgrounds
