Description:
SUMMARY
Safely operates non-CDL company delivery truck (16 - 26-foot box truck) while transporting products to and from customers which includes loading and unloading products from vehicle. Utilizes company software program to document and log deliveries. Adheres to the work schedule for department operations in conjunction with production schedule. Responsible for understanding and following all policies, practices, and standard operating procedures of the company.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Drives the company vehicle (delivery truck) on a predetermined route and schedule.
2) Delivers and/or retrieves items to/from customers as instructed.
3) Loads and unloads the vehicle, as necessary.
4) Documents and/or logs deliveries or other shipment information.
5) Follows Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
6) Must be able to work independently and manage your time well as our customers expect to receive their items within a specific timeframe.
7) Responsible for being the face of the company during customer interactions, facilitating customer relationships and obtaining feedback.
8) Makes local deliveries and pick-ups:
a. Part of a two-person delivery team that makes deliveries to in-town customers
b. Travels to local vendors to pick-up oversized materials.
9) Responsible for making sure that the truck, the interior of the truck and individual workspaces are kept to the neatest and cleanest standards.
10) Observes company employee practices and policies including:
a. Adhering to work schedule and timely attendance of work hours,
b. Articulates full understanding of who/where to go if questions/problems arise.
11) Keeps open line of communication with Lead/Supervisor.
12) Participates in mandatory training and retraining for aspects of work quality and safety practice.
13) Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required
High School Graduate or GED
Valid Class D driver's license with a clean driving record
Able to work independently and life up to 75 lbs.
Must be at least 21 years old
Must pass DOT physical
Previous trucking/driving experience

Demonstrated ability to understand and/or operate all related equipment
