Position Overview The MCICOM G5 Deliberate Plans Section Planner will support establishing and providing administrate support to Marine Corps strategic and operational installation programs, projects, and actions. Essential Job Function Provide support to MCICOM G-5 to establish and administrate Marine Corps strategic and operational installation programs, projects, and actions. Support development of Marine Corps plans, processes, procedures, and policy in support of enterprise-level basing programs and initiatives (i.e., MCICOM Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership & Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-C) integration, Strategic Basing Program, Joint Basing, BRAC, Force Design, special project capacity analyses, etc.). Assist in detailed planning related to installation matters, future installation concepts, and installation special projects. Develop Planning Orders (PLANORDs), Operations Orders (OPORDs), and Letters of Instruction (LOIs) to implement installation actions and planning guidance. Support Marine Corps responses to Congressional and public inquiries pertaining to basing actions, installation planning, and installation related special projects. Provide conference planning and meeting support. This shall include pre-event planning, on-site coordination, and post-event activities for designated government, and inter-agency conferences, symposia, and workshops. Conduct reviews and propose updates to applicable orders, directives and policies governing installation planning. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Over ten years of experience. Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in engineering, community planning, facility management; or 10 years of experience as an analyst or program manager at the Service Component Headquarters or DoD level. Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office software. Project Management Professional certification. Prior military experience. Prior experience working military basing programs.
