Job Summary Selling and packaging deli products, maintaining cleanliness and presentation of deli display cases, and assisting members in the deli department.
Responsibilities - Provide high-level customer service to members, answering questions and recommending deli items.
- Receive and inspect deli shipments, stock and rotate deli products following food safety policies.
- Operate and handle deli equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
- Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department.
- Ensure scale systems are in working order and items are weighed and priced accurately.
Qualifications - Work experience in a deli department preferred.
- Knowledge of deli products preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
Job Conditions - Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces and may require frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.
- Located in a comfortable indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning agents.
