Job Summary - Deli Clerk
• Provide prompt and courteous service to the customers
• Cut delicatessen meats and cheeses to customer's preference
• Weigh, wrap, code and price deli products accurately
• Replenish shelves, check for out-of-code items and rotate product
• Prepare party trays and arrange foods according to established guidelines
• Maintain a regular cleaning and sanitation program
• Maintain knowledge of all products sold in the department
• Good mathematic skills to operate scales & computers and to coordinate dates for inventory rotation.
Other assignments as directed by supervisor
• Must be 18 years of age
Physical Demands:
• Stand on feet, bend forward, stoop or walk for the majority of the time on duty
• Work in freezer and/or cooler for short periods of time. Lift cases/containers of product
• Work safely around deli slicer machines and knives.
• Lift, push, and/or pull items up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to wear company-provided uniform, and maintain a clean and groomed appearance.
