Seeking a Database Programmer Analyst I As a database Programmer Analyst, the individual assists in the design and development of database systems, performs routine maintenance, and troubleshoots basic issues under supervision. They are responsible for determining software readiness and managing product development lifecycle stages. Additionally, they evaluate and decide on the optimal tools, techniques, and environment to effectively meet customer requirements for computer systems. The role also involves analyzing and selecting actions to restore critical systems function within limited time frames. This position requires frequent decision-making and has a significant impact on the organization's ability to meet customer requirements and maintain critical systems functionality.
Job Duties: - Assist in the design and development of database systems.
- Write and optimize simple SQL queries.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups and updates.
- Troubleshoot basic database issues.
- Document database structures and processes.
- Maintain system backups and documentation.
- Plan and perform OS and software installations and upgrades.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders.
- Participate in cross functional project teams providing support to site mission critical projects.
- Provide technical support to developers and DBAs.
- Participate in special projects and travel as needed.
Position Requirements: Requires a minimum of BS degree in Computer Science, IT or related field or equivalent education and experience. Semiconductor industry preferred, and a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in database programming, development, analysis. In addition, 1 to 3 years of experience using Oracle and Linux.
You must have in-depth knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems, network protocols and devices, programming, SQL and multiple database management systems, an understanding of database design principles, and Linux development and deployment.
