Job Title: Database Developer IV Job Type: Contract; 6 Months contract Location: Carrollton, TX 75010 This resource will primarily work remote but will need to go onsite as needed. Requires SQL Server and Couchbase experience POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction of the Director of Applications Development or other management level associate, responsible for the development, installation, and maintenance of systems software.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Designs, develops, and implements complex SQL Server databases and solutions to meet business requirements.
- Implements best practices for database schema design, normalization, denormalization, and data partitioning where necessary.
- Writes and optimizes T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- nalyzes database performance metrics and query execution plans to optimize database performance.
- Implements indexing strategies, query optimization techniques, and caching mechanisms to enhance database performance.
- Designs and develops Couchbase data models, document structures, and indexes to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Implements N1QL queries, views, and indexes to optimize data access and manipulation in Couchbase databases.
- Develops and maintains application design, program specification documents, and proprietary applications.
- Interacts with user management regarding project status and user requirements to promote an environment with improved productivity and satisfaction.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelors degree or related experience.
- 5 plus years of development experience.
- Requires some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Normally requires a minimum of eight (8) years directly related and progressively responsible experience with at least three (5) years in a development role.
- Extensive experience in SQL Server required. Couchbase and .NET a plus.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Thorough understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
