Database Analyst / Programmer - Intermediate

LLC has been engaged to support a growing Federal Contractor satisfying an immediate requirement for an intermediate Database Analyst/Programmer. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career with a global leader in surveillance and cyber. You will be responsible for providing direct services to Operational Data Team (ODT).

Responsibilities:
  • Support Maven Smart Systems (MSS) by assisting Mission Command Integrator with map/layer management requirements.
  • Employ unit solutions to increase operational clarity required to make informed decisions 95% of time.
  • Discuss updates to SOPs in support of MSS and Mission Command Integration.
  • Adhere to KM SOPs and relevant TACSOP Cards that highlight best practices for Mission Command Integration.
  • Capture improvements or changes to layer structure upon completion of each mission/exercise; work with Mission Command Integrator to make (a minimum of) 80% of requested updates upon completion of exercise.
  • Provide support services for KM Section in management of Mission Command SOPs; update all mission Command SOPs semi-annually and as needed.
  • Provide advanced analytic services to enhance mission support by leveraging data engineering, data visualization, statistics, linear optimization, network graph analysis, data literacy training, and machine learning; emphasis placed on data visualization techniques to create intuitive, actionable insights that empower decision-making.
  • Key responsibilities include developing interactive dashboards and visualizations to model UIC to MFGI assignment, changes in OPLANs, and custom TPFDDs using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Data Driven Document Java Script (D3.JS).
  • Create visual representations of training equipment set designation and transportation to highlight logistical requirements and potential bottlenecks.
  • Implement real-time data visualization tools for live tracking of Immediate Reaction Force (IRF) /Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO) events, providing up-to-date information and situational awareness.
  • Develop visual analytics to support reconstitution efforts, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Employ Microsoft Office 365 collaboration solutions to support cloud-based architecture.
  • Assist with Microsoft Office 365 collaboration solutions following management of cloud-based amenities.
  • Manage private Teams application.
  • Provide administrative services that govern unitization of Private Channels/Groups on MS Teams.
  • Assist KM Officers in refining Governance Plan to adhere to best practices developed during Microsoft Office 365 migration and implementation.
  • Provide administrative services that govern utilization of Public Channels/Groups on MS Teams.
  • Assist KM Officers in refining Governance Plan to adhere to best practices developed during O365 migration and implementation.
  • Manage Bring Your Own Device (BYOD); be prepared to employ policies, processes, and any other necessary guidance/directives needed to standardize and leverage BYOD initiatives on cloud-based infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Required (IL5 and IL6) certification
  • IAT-II (Security+)
  • Technical Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • MS Power BI Database Analyst / Programmer - Int. or equivalent certification; IAT-II (Security+)
  • Provides direct services to Operational Data Team (ODT).
  • Must be available between hours of 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, except federal holidays or when government facility closed for administrative reasons and occasional weekends, mission dependent.
  • Provides advanced analytic support services to create and mission support by harnessing data engineering, data visualization, statistics, linear optimization, discrete event simulations, network graph analysis, data literacy training, and machine learning.
  • Simulation functionality includes but not limited to modeling Unit Identification Code (UIC) to Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI) assignment modeling, changing Operational Plans (OPLANs) and custom (Time Phased Force Development Data (TPFDDs), modeling training equipment set designation / transportation, live Immediate Reaction Force (IRF) tracking in event of real-world IRF/Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO), and reconstitution.
  • Provide advanced analytic support to help cavern of analytic support services needed to empower decision-making to include computer-aided decision-making.
  • Success measured by IRF's ability to make decisions on hard questions and codify decisions in orders.
  • Requires Technical Bachelor's Degree or minimum 5 years' experience in database systems, data engineering pipelines, and Foundry (preferably Army Vantage Data Analytics Platform) full stack developer orchestrating data architecture solutions following business intent.
  • Must be Subject Matter Expert with deep understanding and experience within Foundry (preferably Army Vantage Data Analytics Platform) to perform the following:
    • Leverage ontology to represent digital twin of organization through things, relationships, and business processes.
    • Leverage ontology for requesting/creating/editing objects, actions, and object forms.
    • Evaluate organizational needs and grant permissions infrastructure for Foundry (preferably Army Vantage Data Analytics Platform) affiliations, Unit Leader and Senior Leader access, code repository branching and master merging approval, appropriate PII/PHI permissions access through primary and additional UIC assignment Data health check creation and management.
    • Apply PII/PHI marking within Foundry (preferably Army Vantage Data Analytics Platform).
    • Identify and create branch fix recommendations for datasets outside organization by following and evaluating data provenance through data lineage application.
    • Experience with Foundry applications Contour, Workshop, Slate, code repository.
    • Experience with Snapshot, changelog, and incremental code repository Python transformations with ability to implement type of transformation required to manage data health and memory (batch usage, disk usage, and interactive compute).
    • Relational database expertise in database storage, Structured Query Language (SQL) queries, and primary/foreign keys.
    • Deep understanding of differences between Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Extract Load Transform (ELT) in database connections.
    • Must be fluent coder in Python, PySpark, Java, SQL, and typescript.
    • Must be self-motivated, articulate, and fluent in Microsoft.
