Role Responsibilities - Perform SQL Server Monitoring and Daily Checks
- Provide database support for scheduled deployments and troubleshooting issues
- Automate tasks to reduce manual intervention
- Track database connections and log the information
- Enforce ISO security requirements and policies
- Conduct audits of database access
- Automate alerts for expired/expiring passwords for users in the database administrator group
- Check for unauthorized membership to the database administrator group
- Report user access anomalies to ISO (Information Security Officer)
- Upgrade older SQL versions to supported versions to enhance security
- Manage OLTP and OLAP SQL Server environments
- Provide Power BI and Snowflake administration and support
- Offer after-hour support as requested
- Perform database validations after client patching
- Troubleshoot non-standard job issues including network latency and outdated code
- Perform unplanned database restores in collaboration with the client
Additional Responsibilities - Perform data engineering activities on the cloud for data integration, storage, and governance
- Experience with AWS services including S3, Aurora, and DynamoDB
- Configure Data Management practices on AWS using services like AWS Glue, AWS Data Zone, and AWS Lambda
- Manage datastores like Snowflake and SQL servers
- Implement a modern cloud datastore (Snowflake) for structured and unstructured data
- Enable automation using scripting languages like Python or Node.js
- Provide support and training to enhance data literacy within the cloud data ecosystem
- Analyze data lifecycle to identify automation opportunities
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud infrastructure
- Optimize deployment pipelines for CI/CD
- Manage version control using tools like Github, Jenkins, and AWS Code Pipeline
- Collaborate with senior team members and stakeholders to deliver robust cloud-based data solutions
- Support data governance to ensure data reliability, quality, and compliance
- Assist in designing scalable cloud engineering solutions
- Develop both front-end and back-end components for cloud-based data applications
Skills Required - Proficiency in database configuration and management tools - 8 Years
- Experience with performance tuning, scripting, automation, and troubleshooting - 7 Years
- Proficient with database monitoring, security, and tuning - 7 Years
- Experience with data migration and synchronization in enterprise environments - 7 Years
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud data engineering - 7 Years
- Experience with AWS db services including S3, Aurora, and Snowflake - 5 Years
- Core experience in configuring data management on AWS - 5 Years
- Familiarity with version control tools like Github and Jenkins - 5 Years
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively - 7 Years
