Ellington Solutions is seeking out qualified candidates that will:
  • Leverage your expertise with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, and Postgres to develop and maintain bash scripts for dumping and loading databases.
  • Carry out various maintenance tasks, including rebuilding indexes and updating statistics.
  • Execute basic database dumping and loading, manage transaction logging, and optimize performance.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, availability, and compliance of databases with business processes throughout their lifecycle.
  • Implement disaster recovery measures, conduct performance analysis and tuning, and maintain and monitor indexes.
  • Assess and propose database management system products.
  • Administer database and application servers.
  • Organize and format data for optimal query performance and storage efficiency.
Requirements

The qualified candidate will have:
  • U.S. Citizenship (Required)
  • Active TS/SCI+FSP Clearance (Required)
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Alternatively, four (4) years of additional experience as a Database Administrator on relevant projects may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Seven (7) years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Experience in performing basic database dump and load operations, transaction logging, and performance tuning.
  • Proficient in running SQL agent jobs for MSSQL and experienced in software installation on Linux platforms.
  • Familiarity with Redhat Ansible.
  • Ability to manage user identities via Active Directory and Centify.
  • Utilize Salt for deploying configuration files to end nodes and conducting various interrogations (Ping, DNS).
  • Capability to request, renew, and install/update PKI certificates, including converting from pkcs12 to various formats.
  • Basic knowledge of nLyte, the NEO data center inventory management application.
  • Experience with NIFI for automating data flows between software systems.
  • Knowledge of Ranger/Docker for configuring containerized applications, primarily for distributed software environments.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes for configuring open-source platforms for container orchestration, including application packaging/scheduling, load balancing, storage orchestration, and advanced logging/monitoring/debugging.
  • Experience with Wazuh, Nxlog, Saltstack for deploying configuration files to end nodes and conducting various interrogations, along with GIT and HAProxy as a load balancer.
  • Proficient with Vcenter/Vsphere for building virtual machines.
