Software Engineer (Product)

In just three years, we've gone from $0 to $48M in revenue - without raising a dollar of venture funding. Now, we're scaling our engineering team to build the frontend layer that turns raw sequencing data into intuitive, interactive, and insightful scientific tools.
What You'll Do:
- Own product experiences from idea MVP production
- Build rich, interactive data visualizations using D3.js, WebGL, React, and Python
- Design interfaces that enable scientists to identify mutations, explore genomes, and interpret massive sequencing datasets
- Work closely with scientists and engineers to shape the product roadmap
- Help define frontend best practices, architecture, and tooling across the team
- Contribute to core technical and product decisions as a foundational engineer
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience building frontend products in fast-paced environments
- Deep proficiency with modern JS frameworks (React preferred) and component architecture
- Strong proficiency with software development fundamentals in Python
- Experience with data visualization libraries like D3.js, WebGL, or similar
- Strong product intuition - you think in terms of UX, not just code
- Experience collaborating closely with backend teams and/or scientific stakeholders
- A builder's mindset - you've shipped full products, end-to-end
