Actalent is currently seeking a qualified data steward for a consultant position with Bonneville Power Administration in Vancouver, WA. This position will provide Data Steward support and assistance to the Transmission Resource and Work Planning (TEBW) organization at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). This position will involve general data and document management, integrity, review, compliance, and reporting to facilitate strategic resourcing of all capital projects within Transmission Engineering capital portfolio and the Abandoned Vehicles, Encampments, and Dumpsites (AVED) program. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform manual data entry into relational database from electronic records. Manage centralized mail inbox and distribute communications accordingly. Manage the AVED incident list. Manage TEBW organizations in the PWA (Project Web Application). This work may include train and/or assist users on use of the PWA application. Research missing data points and data quality issues in various electronic records locations to locate missing data or to correct inconsistencies. Provide maintenance, track, and report for a variety of organizational databases; produce routine, management, and ad hoc reports as requested. Coordinate reporting needs with TEBO Business Analysts. Assist agency Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to draft, write, and recommend business data rules. Provide input and recommendations for potential process / procedural improvements. Assist the BPA manager and staff to draft Standard Operating Procedures, governance, and internal control procedures as changes and processes occur; assist and promote implementation of BPA management-approved process and procedural changes. Draft data dictionary by analyzing data, maintaining spreadsheet(s), and drafting procedural documents as requested. Provide data management support to team members as requested by BPA manager, which may include train and assist with use of technology, disseminate procedural change information, etc. Create Tier III Manager monthly data compliance reporting communications. Mark documents and maintain filing system(s), files, emails and records in accordance with compliance requirements. Share and disperse documents only to appropriate personnel (those with a Lawful Government Purpose (LGP) to know). Mark and maintain all official records in accordance with the Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Governance & Lifecycle Management (IGLM) standards and procedures. Validate official records are accurately maintained for auditing purposes. Conduct an annual review and inventory of official files and maintain the organizational file outline Provide a wide variety of confidential administrative/clerical routine support to managers and/or management staff; serve as liaison/point of contact between staff and other work groups, facilitate communication and appropriate actions; and assist with the day-to-day operations. Scheduling and attending of meetings, preparing agendas and transcription. Assist BPA manager in a wide variety of personnel and other actions for BFTE and CFTE, such as assisting with preparing contract extension documentation; tracking, monitoring, and providing reminders of documentation and assignment deadlines; assisting with annual documentation requirements (e.g., telework agreements, driver's license verification); setting and coordinating interviews and escorting interviewees. May coordinate or assist with organizational and agency events such as: presentations, retirements, project or employee recognition celebrations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in data management, data analytics, computer science, Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. 1 year of experience is required with a bachelor's degree in applicable fields. 3 years of experience is required with an associate's degree in applicable fields. 5 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree. 1 year of experience in data management, data analysis, or similar field is required. Experience should include work in a technical environment involving data analysis or a similar field. 2 years of relevant work experience in administrative support functions. 2 years of experience in a technical environment involving data analysis or a similar field. 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote) 2 years of experience analyzing and documenting large volumes of technical data. 2 years of experience storing, manipulating, and organizing large numbers of files and folders using Microsoft Windows networks or other document management programs. PREFERRED Working knowledge of SharePoint or similar system sufficient to edit and maintain sites. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, preferably Project Web Application. General knowledge of electrical transmission technical terminology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
