Hybrid role - 2 days remote Position Summary: As the
Data Specialist , you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of critical data across multiple systems and departments. From product catalogs and pricing files to vendor and customer records, you'll play a key role in ensuring our teams have the reliable information they need to succeed. This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the intersection of operations, purchasing, sales, and IT.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain, audit, and update large datasets, including product specifications, pricing, and vendor/customer data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate data input and reporting.
- Identify and correct data inconsistencies or errors through routine data quality checks.
- Assist with the preparation and validation of data for system integrations and updates.
- Create and manage reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making.
- Document data processes, standards, and best practices to support consistency and efficiency.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal data requests and special projects.
Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in a data-focused role, ideally within a distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.); experience with ERP systems or data tools (SQL, Power BI, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
