Job Overview TechSur seeks a Data Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership for a complex Enterprise Data Warehouse operations and development program. This high-visibility role involves managing and designing data models, modernizing systems, and implementing data solutions across on-premises and cloud environments. The Data Solutions Architect will also lead initiatives in performance optimization, data governance, and solution design to ensure efficient data management across customer agencies.
Job Responsibilities Data Architecture Strategy and Design:
- Develop, implement, and maintain data architecture standards and design principles for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
- Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of relational, dimensional, and big data models.
- Provide technical oversight for creating new data marts, integrating with legacy systems, and implementing new reporting and analytics tools.
Modernization and Cloud Integration: - Lead the migration and reengineering of on-premises systems to cloud-native platforms to improve scalability and performance.
- Assess and recommend changes to optimize data architecture, ensuring efficient data management across both on-prem and cloud-based systems.
- Lead the integration of cloud-based tools, including Snowflake on Azure and Oracle Cloud, into Agency's data architecture.
- Support the migration and re-engineering efforts of on-premises systems to cloud-native platforms, leveraging tools like Snowflake, Oracle, and Databricks to improve scalability, data accessibility, and performance.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers (CSPs) to implement end-to-end data warehousing solutions using Snowflake, Oracle, and Databricks
Data Governance and Security: - Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards, including managing metadata, data models, and access controls.
- Collaborate with security teams to address data vulnerabilities and ensure federal security compliance.
- Ensure the integration of data governance practices with Snowflake and Oracle platforms to maintain data models, metadata, and access control.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Consulting: - Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements for data solutions.
- Provide expert consultation for business intelligence solutions and visualizations, leveraging tools like SAP Business Objects, Tableau, and others.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
- Maintain comprehensive design, implementation, and operational documentation, including data models, source-to-target mappings, and process documentation.
- Lead knowledge transfer sessions to ensure staff can independently manage and sustain the solutions.
Continuous Improvement: - Stay current with industry trends in data management, cloud computing, and business intelligence technologies.
- Support the continuous improvement of EDW and associated systems to meet emerging business requirements and optimize operational efficiency.

Required Experience/Skills - 12+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and business intelligence.
- At least 7-10 years in a similar role, focusing on data integration, transformation, and analytics
- Proficiency in complex data systems design and implementation, with experience in Oracle, snowflake, Databricks, SAP Data Services, Business Objects, ETL processes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Education - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or related field
- Relevant certifications in cloud computing or data management are preferred
