Job DescriptionJob Summary The Data Senior Analyst, working under minimal supervision, is skilled at providing analysis and reporting on moderate to complex analysis projects. The role understands and clarifies business requirements, identifies potential data sources, selects appropriate data based on business requirement, extracts and prepares data and prepares data and builds appropriate reports. The role uses quantitative and qualitative analysis to draw conclusions and effectively communicate potential impacts and alternatives and make recommendations. The role collaborates with other analysts, business members and IT and serves as a peer mentor to less experienced data analysts.
Job Responsibilities - Performs data analysis, data profiling and data sourcing utilizing knowledge of data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, data sources and the enterprise integrated data environment.
- Gathers and documents functional and non-functional data requirements by collaborating with stakeholders.
- Creates, updates, and validates source to target mapping documents.
- Analyzes impacts of planned new application development or enhancements to existing applications on legacy and other relational data stores and the enterprise integrated data environment.
- Creates, updates, and validates conceptual, logical, and physical data models as needed in support of requested changes.
- Loads and manages reference data in partnership with business customers.
- Analyzes and identifies data quality concerns or cleansing opportunities to correct data quality anomalies and facilitate resolution between technical, business, and other stakeholders.
- Assimilates data from various sources and draws appropriate conclusions and makes relevant recommendations from the data for moderate to complex problems.
- Creates reports to visually depict data that enables business decisions to be made.
- Serves as a peer mentor to less experienced data analysts.
Job Qualifications - 5+ years of Data Analyst experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field or commensurate experience.
