DSSP Consulting is looking to hire an energetic, forward-thinking Data Scientist professional in support of the Architect of the Capitol. Location: 100% Remote Employment Type: 1099, Part-time or Full-time (20-40 hours/week) Salary: Up to about $90/hour The specific scope of this position includes providing planning, program management consultation, technical assistance, testing, and documentation writing in support of the Chief Data Officer's (CDO) efforts to: Modernize Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes Curate data sources in the agency data catalog Support testing of patches to the Financial Management System (Momentum), including testing of custom reports and interfaces Support of AOC data marts / databases / tabular models, systems, reports and interfaces that require changes due to upgraded ETL processes and migration of reporting from SSRS to PowerBI and Tableau Assist in the design, development and documentation of new data lakehouse systems to meet agency analytics needs Provide expert support in the ongoing efforts to modernize the Payroll Corrections system including requirements gathering, documentation, testing data interface changes and providing consulting expertise on process improvements Assist Data & Business Intelligence Division (DBID) in projects relating to WebForm development and Management Operational Reporting (MOR) tasks. Provide expert analysis and support of the AOC SharePoint webform framework Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning projects in the Azure cloud environment Provide support in development and documentation of business processes related to Data Projects Support the data governance councils (Data Advisory Board and Data Technical Council) with the receipt, reviewal and ongoing monitoring of requests Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience Experience with Data Lakehouse Systems Preferred Skills: Payroll process experience DSSP provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
