Data Scientist

Job Description: As a
Data Scientist at Tevogen Bio, you will work closely with the
Data Engineering team to develop and train machine learning and predictive AI models that bridge the fields of
genomics and proteomics. Your work will play a key role in understanding
T-cell receptor (TCR) interactions with proteins, ultimately aiding in the design of novel immunotherapies. You will leverage cutting-edge AI/ML techniques, bioinformatics tools, and large-scale biological datasets to drive discoveries in computational biology.
Responsibilities: - Work directly with the Head of Tevogen AI, the Chief Scientific Officer and the Clinical Development Lead to extract meaningful insights from multi-omics datasets, design analytics dashboards and present findings to the laboratory operations teams.
- Develop, train, and optimize machine learning models for analyzing genomics-to-proteomics relationships.
- Collaborate with data engineers to preprocess and manage large-scale biological datasets.
- Design models to predict T-cell receptor (TCR) binding affinity to proteins.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in ML/AI for bioinformatics and implement novel methodologies where applicable.
- Validate and interpret model outputs in collaboration with immunologists and bioinformaticians.
- Write clean, scalable, and reproducible code for data analysis and machine learning workflows.
- Present findings and contribute to research publications and patents.
Education: - Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field.
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in machine learning and bioinformatics (academic or industry setting) and executing data science projects, including statistical analysis, data engineering, and data visualization.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks.
- Machine Learning: Strong background in deep learning, neural networks, and unsupervised learning techniques.
- Bioinformatics: Experience working with genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic datasets.
- Presentation Skills: Possess storytelling skills to guide cross functional teams through findings and discoveries.
- Cloud & Big Data: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), distributed computing (Spark, Hadoop) and large-scale data processing (Databricks, Fabric) is a plus.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of T-cell immunology, HLA-peptide binding, or protein structure prediction is highly desirable.
