Mission Focus: As a Data Scientist, you will have the unique opportunity to research, design, and implement cutting edge algorithms for a program focused on protecting computer vision algorithms from adversarial AI attacks. This requires data curation, coding in Python with PyTorch, and production of model explainability and model performance visuals. Additionally, you will contribute to the program's source code, implementing data curation and data science techniques.

Technical members of our solutions teams require little guidance, but love to learn, collaborate, and problem solve. This position requires a junior to mid level of experience, a passion for mission support, and a strong desire to solve our customers' hardest technical and data challenges.
Clearance: Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance required. US Citizenship is required.
Location/Flexibility: Vienna, VA with remote flexibility.
Responsibilities: - Research, design, implementation, and evaluation of novel algorithms
- Implement algorithms in Python in repeatable and scalable way
- Drive requirements for data preprocessing ahead of algorithm development.
- Support creative delivery of solutions in a quickly evolving domain of AI/ML
Qualifications: - You have 2+ years of experience designing and implementing AI/ML techniques specifically those designed for imagery
- You have foundational knowledge of AI/ML methods and implementation strategies.
- You have worked with imagery data, both overhead or ground level imagery
- You desire a fast-paced, collaborative, Agile environment
- You are familiar with machine and deep learning libraries such as Scikit-learn and PyTorch
- You think critically about hard problems
- You are proficient with the Python programming language
- You have worked with Git version control systems
- You are no stranger to the Linux OS
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
