Data Scientist (SME) Northern, VA area Full-Time On-site Position Contingent Upon Award Join Synertex LLC and bring your expertise to a mission that matters. We're looking for a Data Scientist (SME) with a background in statistical modeling, artificial intelligence, and complex data analysis to support critical government and intelligence initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES Apply statistical, mathematical, and AI models to large and complex datasets Design and implement machine learning algorithms to identify patterns and predict outcomes Develop data pipelines, analytical models, and visualization tools to support decision-making Collaborate with mission teams to translate requirements into data science solutions Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation Communicate findings through clear visualizations, reports, and technical briefings Support integration of advanced analytics into enterprise systems and workflows REQUIREMENTS TS/SCI clearance required, including additional security screenings Full Performance: High school diploma/GED with 8 years, associate's with 6 years, bachelor's with 4 years, or master's with 2 years of relevant experience Senior Level: High school diploma/GED with 10 years, associate's with 8 years, bachelor's with 6 years, master's with 4 years, or PhD with 2 years Expert/Master Level: High school diploma/GED with 12 years, associate's with 10 years, bachelor's with 8 years, master's with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years Proficiency in data science languages and tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Jupyter, Pandas, Scikit-learn) Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and big data platforms (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) Strong background in statistics, data modeling, and algorithm development Ability to explain complex data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience supporting national security or defense data programs Familiarity with data governance, ethics, and secure handling of classified data Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP), time-series analysis, or deep learning Join a mission-driven team advancing government communication capabilities and operational readiness.
