Data Platform Manager MUST be local to New York City, Hybrid Schedule Salary Range: $105k to $150k No Sponsorship Seeking a hands-on Data Platform Manager to lead a small team (2-5) in onboarding, maintaining, and automating enterprise data platforms. This role combines platform administration, cloud service configuration, and team leadership. Candidates should bring strong technical experience, particularly with Azure or similar, and a proactive, independent work style.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a hybrid/offshore team; drive priorities and delivery
- Administer and support platforms across Windows and Linux environments
- Configure and integrate cloud services (Key Vaults, storage, VMs, VNets)
- Establish SLAs, formalize onboarding processes, and ensure platform security
- Automate maintenance, updates, and compliance tasks
- Monitor system health, perform upgrades, and ensure regulatory alignment
- Drive structure, documentation, and operational consistency
Required Skills: - 5+ years in enterprise platforms/admin, scripting (IaC), and cloud services
- Strong Azure (or equivalent cloud) experience, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Fluent in enterprise networking concepts (private links, certs, VLANs)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently with remote teams
- Experience in regulated environments or familiarity with change control processes
Nice to Have: - Exposure to Databricks, Airflow, Kafka, and enterprise app onboarding
- Experience bringing structure and automation to platform operations
