Title: Data Management Technician

Location: Sacramento CA

Contract Position


General requirements:


• Possess the ability to use English to communicate clearly and concisely with others, orally and in writing.


• Simultaneously handle several tasks and continue to reestablish priorities.


• Ability to establish and maintain effective team relationships with all internal and external customers.


• Ability to operate a computer for up to 8 hours a day.


• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn the functionality of new equipment and systems.


• May be required to pass a security/background check before providing any services to Client.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:


• Apply principles of engineering, drafting, designing, and mathematics techniques.


• Enter, transfer, extract, and analyze to verify the accuracy of the data.


• Retrieve data from multiple databases to determine or correct sources of data inconsistencies or for report generation.


• Review and analyze information on sewer facilities surveyed.


• Create and update assets in AutoCAD 2D Mapping Enterprise (AME).


• Create documents or reports using Microsoft Office.


• Research pertinent information for data entry purposes.


• Maintain document management standards, custom attributes, and document classes.


• Assist users and customers regarding the data and processes used in the various electronic formats.


Ability to:


• Capture, maintain, and update data.


• Operate specialized data management applications.


• Read, understand, and interpret engineering plans, schematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) documents, and related documents.


Desired knowledge and/or experience:


• Knowledge of attributes and functionality of one or more tracking and reporting database applications, computerized control systems applications, computer-aided drafting applications, and/or system modeling software applications


• Knowledge of procedures, methods, and equipment, including computers and applicable software applications (Word, Excel, and databases)


• Experience using ArcGIS to view or edit spatial data


• Experience drafting in current versions of AutoCAD


• Experience working in a team environment.
