Overall responsibility: ProBridge is seeking a Data Management Strategy Consultant with experience in data architecture, data governance, and data strategy to help financial services organizations maximize the value of their data assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of technical expertise and business acumen, enabling them to advise clients, facilitate workshops, and deliver actionable data strategies. Success in this role requires assertiveness, adaptability, and the ability to think on your feet in dynamic client environments

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Data Architecture & Integration
  • Collaborate with IT teams to define data architecture standards and integration patterns.
  • Evaluate and recommend data platforms, tools, and technologies to support effective data management.
  • Design scalable and efficient data models that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence.
Data Management & Governance
  • Develop and implement data management strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and optimize data governance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Provide guidance on data stewardship, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) best practices.
Client Engagement & Advisory
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders, helping them leverage data for strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to identify data-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior executives, data stewards, and business teams.
Risk Management & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., NCUA, BSA, AMLA, Federal Credit Union Act, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
  • Identify and mitigate data security risks, promoting industry best practices for data protection.
Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology, from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of Five (5) years of experience in data management, data governance, or data strategy consulting.

Company/Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in data & analytics field is a must. Prior experience in banking, credit union or financial services industries is strongly preferred. Experience with data warehouse / business intelligence solutions is also preferred.

Qualifications & Skill
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or data strategy consulting.
  • Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration architectures.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and metadata management.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and data warehousing solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data manipulation languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services, credit unions, or other regulated industries.
  • Certification in data governance (e.g., DCAM, CDMP) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Background in business intelligence (BI), analytics, or AI-driven data management.
Travel - up to 10%

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or members of the business community.

Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and a contact database product.
