Job Description:

Metas Solutions has an "immediate opening" for an experienced Data Pipeline Manager to work remote with the possibility of working onsite in Atlanta, GA at some point in the future. In this role you will provide public health programmatic, epidemiological, and scientific analytical support to the CDC Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance and Technology manage a cloud-based solution housing complex data pipelines of various licensed large, "big data" sets of healthcare, EMR and other clinical data. End users of the data are scientists performing research and studies and complex data analysis using variety of tools such as R, Python, SAS, SQL and other proprietary tools. You'll prepare and automate data loads, perform quality assurance, develop algorithms, write scripts, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to effectively manage and refresh these data assets. You'll assist in providing clients with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. The role with transition to an Palantir based solution in the next 6-12 months so experience using Palantir Foundry is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce data extracts and cleaning scripts
  • Perform data quality on data pipelines.
  • Perform data wrangling and develop data ingest and data prep automation tools
  • Develop and document Python, R, or SQL programs, views, and databases
  • Focus is on packaging, handling and handle all data pipeline procedures in preparation for preparation of data visualization and dashboard outputs
  • Maintain requisite knowledge (coding) for managing and analyzing large data sets using Python, SQL, or R coding language.
  • Desired experience with data management using Palantir Foundry.
  • Verify results and validate with other known information sources
  • Develop data management and analysis materials and summarize and visualize results (for example, develop graphs for dashboards showing data metrics) using tools such as PowerBI or other reporting tools.
  • Track technical assistance being provided to ensure request/queries are answered promptly and consistently
  • Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for data preparation, automation and our style guidelines for data visualizations and dashboard.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or related discipline and 3+ years supporting federal government in support roles required
  • Experience with data wrangling tools and conducting data analysis and with data preparation techniques
  • Experience developing in Python, R, or SQL programs
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure required
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry
  • Experience with Databricks (preferred)
  • Experience with Big Data analysis programming techniques and technologies in a public health environment
  • Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistical analysis, data structures (preferred)
  • Experience with Public Health data analysis preferred
  • Experience with creating data cleaning scripts
  • Experience with relational databases and data pipeline
  • Possession of excellent analytical, data gathering, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge with use of data visualization and dashboarding tools such as PowerBI
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent on-going activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
