We are seeking a highly skilled Data Integration and Automation Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing and maintaining automated processes for extracting, transforming, and reporting data from multiple credential-based systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have experience working with secure APIs, database connections, and automation tools to streamline reporting workflows. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to aggregate data from multiple credential-protected systems and databases.
Design and implement automated reporting solutions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
Work with RESTful and SOAP APIs to securely pull data from third-party and internal credential-based systems.
Establish and manage secure authentication mechanisms, including OAuth, API keys, and other credential-based access methods.
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational databases.
Utilize Python, Power Automate, or other scripting tools to automate data retrieval and report generation.
Ensure data integrity and security by following best practices for encryption, access control, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define reporting needs and optimize data workflows.
Troubleshoot integration issues and continuously improve data pipelines for performance and scalability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
5 years experience in data integration, data warehousing, and proficiency in programming languages, as well as expertise with ETL tools and data integration platforms.
Programming & Scripting: Python (e.g., Pandas, Requests), PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent scripting languages
APIs & Integration: RESTful/SOAP APIs, OAuth, API authentication mechanisms
Databases: SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB is a plus)
Automation & Workflow Tools: Power Automate, Apache Airflow, AWS Lambda, or equivalent
Data Processing & Reporting: Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent reporting tools
Cloud & DevOps (Preferred): AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
Security & Compliance: Best practices for secure data handling and authentication
Version Control & CI/CD: Git
Clearance: Ability to Obtain and keep a Q level clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working with enterprise authentication methods (e.g., SAML, LDAP, SSO).
Familiarity with log aggregation and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
Experience working with Microsoft applications to centralize use; and pull data sources into data analytic platforms
Background in business intelligence (BI) and analytics.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Active Q or TS clearance
