The job opportunity:
As a Data Integration Administrator, you will be responsible for consulting, designing, implementing, and managing integration solutions for Forecasting systems. You willsupport all platform/technologies involved in connecting critical multi-agency data sources of statewide education, workforce and justice applications and making cross-sector data available to partner agencies and external research entities. You will also provide expert Integration systems server and software administration, including architecting, managing, and maintaining integration solutions

Duties
What you'll work on:
  • Design, maintain and deliver ETL Integration, data governance, and Identity Resolution Solution platform technologies.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain Identity Resolution and ETL technical environments currently leveraging Informatica Master Data Management (MDM), PowerCenter and supporting technologies.
  • Identify unique use cases specific to division's use of underlying technology to engage supporting vendors on, to improve product performance and functionality.
  • Write and execute Test IO Utility scripts to troubleshoot database performance and network-latency issues, and to establish performance benchmarks.
  • Use software such as native Informatica and Java/JBoss utilities, Wireshark, Debug Diagnostics, Sysinternals, Plan Explorer, and SQL Server tools to conduct performance analysis, identifying performance bottlenecks and opportunities for tuning and optimization, and work with peer engineers (DBA, Infrastructure and Operations staff) and vendor support to resolve performance issues and/or session failures.
  • Write and execute scripts to troubleshoot database performance and network-latency issues, and to establish performance benchmarks.
  • Use tools such as native Informatica utilities, Wireshark, Debug Diagnostics, Sysinternals, Plan Explorer, and SQL Server tools to conduct performance analysis, identifying performance bottlenecks and opportunities for tuning and optimization, and work with peer engineers (DBA, Infrastructure and Operations staff) and vendor support to resolve performance issues and/or session failures.
  • Improve and protect solutions and the data.
  • Implements continuous improvement on existing technical solutions - continually assessing current and planned utilization of the solutions leveraging Informatica and its supporting technologies or other ETL and data management technologies.
  • Research, evaluate, make recommendations, and implement data solutions supporting new technologies, solutions, and services.
  • Apply and ensure adherence to vendor and agency best practices for managing major/minor releases/upgrades, patches, hot fixes (HFs), and emergency bug fixes (EBFs).
  • Serve as backup to the Forecasting and Research Division Database Solution Architect and Administrator.
  • As needed, perform ongoing system maintenance of all Forecasting database management systems.
  • Implement and maintain operational and disaster recovery procedures
Qualifications
What we need you to bring

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area (Mathematics, Engineering, Data and Integrations Design) (additional 2 years of experience in installation, configuration, and administration of integration software solutions such as core Informatica solutions (PowerCenter, Data Quality, and Master Data Management may substitute for the educational requirement)
  • 5 years of experience in installation, configuration, and administration of integration software solutions such as core Informatica solutions (PowerCenter, Data Quality, and Master Data Management)
  • 4 years concurrent experience supporting a large enterprise platform with support of technical Infrastructure and data movement troubleshooting.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience designing and implementing and maintaining data warehouse solutions utilizing extract transform and load (ETL) procedures.
  • Experience designing and engineering complex data and application integration architecture and platforms.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools and understanding performance metrics.
  • Experience in performance analysis, tuning and query optimization of at least one of the relational databases like Oracle, MSSQL and MySQL et cetera (MSSQL preferred)
  • Experience with Debug Diagnostics or similar tools
Desired Qualifications:
  • Skills and experience in research organizations systems and platform support for integration technologies and methods. Skills and experience in OFM systems, platform, and network support and methods.
  • Experience with data modeling and architecture tools, ER/Studio Data Architect preferred).
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in cloud platform environment.
  • Experience in application servers (WebLogic and/or WebSphere and/or JBoss - JBoss preferred).
  • Experience with network troubleshooting tools.
