Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst Lead with a strong emphasis on Data Quality Management. In this role, you will lead the implementation and oversight of data governance frameworks and data quality initiatives across the organization. You will collaborate with data owners, stewards, and technical teams to ensure enterprise data is accurate, consistent, secure, and trusted.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of enterprise data governance strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a data quality framework, including metrics, dashboards, and issue resolution processes.
  • Define and document data standards, definitions, and business rules in collaboration with data owners and stewards.
  • Champion data quality assessment, profiling, and cleansing initiatives to improve data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Implement and monitor data quality KPIs and SLAs, and report on data quality trends and anomalies.
  • Partner with IT, data engineering, and business units to embed governance and quality controls in data pipelines and systems.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data governance analysts or stewards.
  • Utilize tools such as Collibra, Informatica DQ, Alation, or Microsoft Purview for metadata and data quality management.
  • Facilitate data governance councils and working groups, and drive issue escalation and resolution processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) and internal data policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data lifecycle, and data stewardship.
  • Experience with data profiling and quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Trillium, Ataccama).
  • Familiarity with metadata management and data catalog tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Proven ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders.
