Location: Onsite - Approximately 45 minutes outside of Coeur d' Alene, ID

Position Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts (4:30 AM- 4 PM)

Reports To: Chief Geologist/Technical Services Manager


Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Geology Data Entry Specialist to join our onsite geology department. This contract-based role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of operational, production, and safety data collected from underground mining activities. The ideal candidate will support the timely and precise reporting of geology-related data to aid decision making, compliance, and performance monitoring.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input production, maintenance, and safety data collected by geologists and underground drill crews into company databases and reporting systems.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records, including underground geology logs, reports, and shift summaries.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly geology reports.
  • Collaborate with underground supervisors and technical personnel to resolve data discrepancies or clarify missing information.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and security standards for all operational data.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing data workflows and geology reporting processes.
  • Provide accurate data for regulatory and compliance-related reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary coursework or certifications in data management, office administration, or mining operations are a plus.
  • Prior experience in data entry, administrative support, or clerical roles-preferably within mining, geology, or other industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with underground mining operations and terminology is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to work in or access underground mining environments, if needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to access underground areas on occasion (site-specific safety training and PPE will be provided).
  • Must meet all site-required medical and fitness standards for working in a mining environment.
