Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support insurance policy processing, specifically focused on Workers†Compensation insurance. This role is responsible for accurate data management, policy updates, and certificate handling within a fast-paced, client-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to productivity goals. This position requires working standard Pacific Time (PST) hours, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch.
Key Responsibilities - Process insurance certificate and policy requests for Workers†Compensation insurance.
- Serve as the day-to-day subject matter expert on client insurance policies.
- Perform accurate data entry and data management in internal systems.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and proprietary systems for policy tracking and updates.
- Interpret client requirement documents to ensure precise data handling and client satisfaction.
- Prioritize and shift tasks throughout the day to meet deadlines using effective time-management techniques.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding policy requests or clarifications.
Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience.
- Experience in data entry and data management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong communication skillsâ€"both written and verbal.
- Ability to work a consistent PST schedule (8:00 AM â€" 5:00 PM with 1-hour unpaid lunch).
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Preferred Qualifications - College degree preferred.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry, especially in Workers†Compensation.
- Familiarity with Client systems or other insurance data platforms.
- Strong ability to interpret technical documents and translate them into actionable data inputs.
