If so, our client in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a talented Data Engineering and Reporting Manager to join their growing team.

In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled data professionals in designing, building, and maintaining our client's critical data infrastructure. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the security, accuracy, and accessibility of data, driving informed decision-making across the organization. Your expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting solutions will be key to our continued success.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and Empower: Manage a team of data engineers and reporting analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. You'll set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide opportunities for growth.
  • Architect and Innovate: Oversee the architecture, design, and infrastructure of our client's data platform, ensuring it's secure, scalable, and cost-effective. You'll stay abreast of the latest technologies and drive their adoption where appropriate.
  • Develop and Implement: Create and enforce data management policies, establish data sharing rules, and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis.
  • Build and Maintain: Supervise the development, building, and maintenance of efficient ETL and data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Document and Standardize: Ensure the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for all data systems, processes, and policies.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with IT technical product delivery, infrastructure, software engineering, and quality assurance teams to align priorities and deliver the data and reporting stack on time.
  • Partner and Influence: Establish strong relationships with customers, business partners, and other stakeholders, demonstrating your deep data expertise and business acumen.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Work in an Agile environment, continuously reviewing business needs, refining priorities, and identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to company policies on information security, compliance, risk, and confidentiality.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered).
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven management or supervisory experience, including setting team direction, managing performance, and developing talent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and reporting, with a strong understanding of best practices.
  • Deep expertise in Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) data modeling and design. Please highlight specific experience in your application.
  • Solid understanding of database modeling and design, big data technologies, ETL processes, streaming data platforms, programming and scripting, cloud platforms, performance tuning, data warehouse solutions, reporting, and data security.
  • Experience working with organizations of a similar size and complexity.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining robust OLTP systems. Please provide specific examples in your application.
  • Effective soft skills including communication, problem-solving, continuous learning, attention to detail, and collaboration.
  • Strong management skills in leadership, project management, team building, decision-making, stakeholder management, resource allocation, risk management, and performance metrics.
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen.
  • Ability to operate effectively with uncertainty and incomplete information.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with demonstrated excellence in project and resource management/forecasting.
  • A background in the service industry (Insurance, Banking, Financial, etc.) is a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
