Data Engineer with Security Clearance

The Data Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from a wide variety of sources to support the ERP+ analytics environment. This individual will help develop and sustain pipelines to move Navy ERP and external source data into environments such as Advana/Jupiter, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance. The Data Engineer supports bronze, silver, and gold staging processes for analytical readiness and contributes to overall data lifecycle planning, cleansing, and automation. Serves as a leader in Financial Improvement Coordination, ensuring that groups of professionals are working successfully within the context of complex business environments. Develops business cases, requirements, studies and scope solutions. Identifies gaps and shortcomings in solutions and determines ways forward and/or workarounds to the solutions proposed. Leads process modeling and translates requirements into design. Leads the formulation and implementation of strategic plans. Coordinates with the client at the SES level and above. Required Skills Experience building scalable ETL pipelines
Strong skills in SQL and at least one language such as Python, Scala, or Java Familiarity with data lake architecture and cloud storage (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Data Lake) Working knowledge of data quality and data profiling tools Understanding of IL4/IL5 security controls and encryption methods - 9 years of related experience Secret Clearance
Bachelor's DegreeDesired Skills Experience using Databricks, Apache Spark, or Snowflake Prior exposure to DoD data platforms such as Advana or Jupiter Familiarity with SAP HANA data extraction patterns Hands-on experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines
