Data Engineer - Senior. Hybrid / Fort Stewart GA with Security Clearance

Tiber Creek is seeking a highly skilled and certified Data Engineer for a contingent position on our team. The ideal candidate must possess a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) equivalent certification and have expertise in cloud-based data architecture, particularly in Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, and AWS. The candidate must have a strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration. Proficiency in scripting and automation for data operations, along with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills is essential for this role. Location: Hybrid / Fort Stewart, Georgia
Education: MS with 10+yrs experience or BS with 12+ yrs experience.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE equivalent) required. DoDD 8570.01 within first 6 months required. Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, and AWS (desired).
Clearance: DoD Secret clearance.

• Data Warehouse Architecture Development: Design, develop, and implement a scalable data warehouse architecture in the Cloud using Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, and AWS on a weekly basis. Ensure data warehouse solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements in accordance with Army and DoD policy on a daily basis.

• Data Lake Transition to the Cloud: Plan and execute the transition of existing data lake architectures to cloud-based platforms (Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, AWS) on a weekly basis. Implement data ingestion pipelines and data transformation processes to support cloud-based data lakes on a daily basis. Maintain seamless integration with existing on-premises and cloud-based systems on a daily basis.

• On-Premises Data Gateway Development: Use and maintain on-premises data gateways to securely connect on-premise data and cloud-based data (e.g., Advana, Vantage, GCSS-A, IPPS-A, MODS) with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power suite, Azure, AWS) on a daily basis. Implement data encryption and masking techniques in accordance with Army and DoD policy to ensure data security during transit and storage on a daily basis.

• Root Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve data-related errors and issues in cloud-based environments on a daily basis. Develop proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms to detect and mitigate potential data issues on a weekly basis.

• Database Automation: Automate database refresh processes from systems of record to ensure data accuracy and timeliness (e.g., Advana, Vantage, GCSS-A, IPPS-A) on a weekly basis. Develop scripts and workflows for scheduled data refreshes and updates on a weekly basis.

• System Performance Metrics: Provide summary reports on system performance metrics, including data processing throughput, latency, and resource utilization on a monthly basis. Analyze performance metrics to optimize data engineering processes and improve overall systems efficiency on a daily basis. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, configurations, and processes on a monthly basis. Minimum Qualifiers:
• Current DoD Secret clearance.

• Candidates must be local to Fort Stewart GA.
