Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to support the Crosby Finance Transformation initiative. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust data infrastructure that enables seamless integration and transformation of financial data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable data solutions, optimize data models, and uphold best practices in data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for finance data integration and transformation.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver efficient data solutions.
  • Develop and optimize data models for performance, storage efficiency, and accessibility.
  • Leverage modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric to architect advanced data workflows.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data pipelines and processing.
  • Continuously explore and adopt industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in data modeling and designing efficient, scalable data structures.
  • Strong understanding of ETL development and data integration strategies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational database systems.
  • Solid grasp of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities, with a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications (if any):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Exposure to finance domain and understanding of finance-related data and reporting needs.
Certifications (if any):

Certifications in cloud data engineering (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics â€" Specialty, Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.

Snowflake or Databricks certification is also a bonus.
