Job Title: Data Engineer
Locations: Concord, CA / San Francisco, CA / San Leandro, CA / Chandler, AZ / Dallas, TX / Minneapolis, MN (3 days onsite 2 days remote) & (Need to work in PST time zone)
Duration: 12 months Contract

Must Haves
7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong emphasis on hands-on dashboard development.
Proven expertise in building and enhancing complex dashboards in Grafana and Tableau.
Strong front-end development skills and a deep understanding of user interface (UI) design principles.
Experience in Java, Python, or similar scripting languages.
Experience with data sources like Prometheus, Oracle, Splunk, AppDynamics, and Elastic.
Experience with Jira
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
Portfolio of previously developed dashboards is required for application consideration.

Nice to Haves:
Experience with Google Cloud Logging, InfluxDB, and Google BigQuery
Knowledge of Oracle database

Description:
Client's Monitoring Strategies and Engineering team seeks a highly skilled Data Engineer with a passion for building cutting-edge data visualizations. You will play a critical role in enhancing and evolving our existing Grafana dashboards while developing innovative new visualizations in Tableau. This role requires a strong front-end focus and a deep understanding of how to effectively communicate complex data through compelling visuals.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of highly interactive and visually appealing dashboards in Grafana and Tableau.
Enhance existing Grafana dashboards with advanced features, improved user experience, and enhanced data visualizations.
Develop and maintain data collection pipelines for real-time data ingestion.
Configure and manage data sources for dashboards (e.g., Prometheus, Oracle, Splunk, AppDynamics, and Elastic).
Write and maintain high-quality, well-documented code in Java, Python, or similar languages for data manipulation and analysis.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the DTI organization to understand their data needs and translate them into effective visualizations.
Serve as a Grafana expert and provide guidance to other team members.
Utilize Jira for project management and tracking.
