Data Engineer

Responsibilities:
? Assembling mixed sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
? Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing
infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual
processes.
? Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from
various data sources using a combination of technologies.
? Building analytical tools to use the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business
performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
? Working with data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related
technical issues.
? Supervise and manage pipelines while also communicating any issues to partners and teams.
? Fix technical issues and maintain automation processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
? BS Engineering and/or Data Analytics preferred
? 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and Data Engineering
? Deep understanding of RDBMS, ORDBMS, and other large DBMS systems.
? Deep understanding of REST protocol, JSON data structure, SQL technologies and syntax.
? Hands-on experience with ETL.
? Understanding of privacy and compliance practices around data (GDPR, CCPA)
? Proven ability to research, test, and implement new technologies
? Experience with Google App Scripts, Python, and other scripting technologies
? Experience with agile methodologies and working iteratively
? Ability to communicate with a variety of different levels of audiences, effective communication

Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience with machine learning
? Understanding of business operations/finance/game development
? Experience building front end software services
? Experience with Tableau or other BI tools
