POSITION PURPOSE
Will work closely with our BI team and IT Management to help derive internal business intelligence reporting & development in an effort to create, improve and maintain ad hoc & automated reporting and dashboards. Hands-on experience with SQL is also required. Ideally, you are familiar with predictive analysis and data visualization techniques using relevant tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
  • Help teams on the technical design and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Help align with firm data management standards and ensure applications within the portfolio are in line with those standards.
  • Write SQL queries, stored procedures and utilize SQL Server to generate reports and respond to requests from users for data.
  • Work closely with other technology members to ensure quality of monitoring.
  • Clearly communicate problem/resolution process to users or management.
  • Contribute technical documentation and application procedures.
  • Assure compliance to change management and security policies.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems or equivalent

Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in Database Analysis and/or Development experience with SQL Server, SSIS, writing SQL statements and generating reports.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial/banking industry a plus.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Excellent understanding of Relational Database Design.
  • Working knowledge of ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and C or VB.net development
  • Strong technical experience in database development, performing DDL operations, writing queries and stored procedures, and optimizing database objects.
  • Working knowledge of ETL using SSIS or comparable tool.
  • Solid reporting skills preferably using SSRS.
  • Establishment and implementation of reporting tools to create reports and dashboards using SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytic tool.
  • Experience with Data management standards such as data governance is a plus.
  • Effective analyst able to work closely with non-technical users.
  • Knowledge of MS Access, MS Visual Studio, Crystal Reports or Datawatch Monarch is a plus.
  • Proficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Must have sense of urgency and ownership to support financial applications, with architectural and system component knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be a self-starter that is driven to understand and complete tasks within the guidelines and timeframes assigned.
