Primary Skills: Apache Kafka-Expert, Apache Flink-Advanced, Apache Spark-Advanced, Scala-Advanced, Java-Intermediate, Contract Type: W2 Contract Duration: 5+ Months Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid) Pay Range: $65.00 - $71.00 Per Hour Job Summary: Join our dynamic team as a Data Processing Engineer to play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and refactoring real-time and batch data processing applications. Your expertise will drive the migration of data pipelines to a new kafka infrastructure, enhancing system performance and supporting critical business applications. Be a key player in operational monitoring and providing vital support to data consumers. Key Responsibilities: Develop, refactor, and optimize real-time data processing applications using Apache Flink. Develop, refactor, and optimize batch data processing applications using Apache Spark. Lead the migration of real-time data pipelines to an isolated Kafka infrastructure and coordinate migration efforts. Provide operational monitoring and on-call support for business-critical applications. Support data consumers by addressing data issues and advising on consumption patterns. Must-Have Skills: Proficient in Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and Apache Spark Strong programming skills in Scala (or Java as secondary). Experience with operational monitoring and support. Industry Experience Required: Extensive experience in real-time and batch data processing within a technology or related industry is essential.
