Data/Devops Engineer

Job Description

Flexion is looking to add Data/DevOps Engineers to support an ongoing agile health data project. The team's mission is to develop a new data platform to serve as a single source of truth for storing Medicare beneficiary data.

Responsibilities

Build and automate healthcare data warehouse and processes for loading and distributing data.

Work with Data Engineers and Analysts to create data sets used to inform beneficiaries of ways to improve their healthcare and health.

Work with stakeholders to develop a secure and highly performant data system.

Required Qualifications

Experience developing software to manage large data sets and change sets.

Experience with AWS technologies including, SQS, ECS, ECR, S3, KMS, ELBs, ALBs, and others.

Python development experience

Server-side JavaScript development experience

Knowledge of Analytics databases like Redshift or Veritica

Knowledge of how to effectively use Terraform

Knowledge of and understanding of AWS Security best practices

Strong communication skills, both vertically and laterally

Experience building, deploying and managing custom software in AWS.

Experience with cloud-native architecture including containerization, microservices, and serverless computing.

Knowledge of CI/CD, Monitor and logging tools such as Jenkins, New Relic, and Splunk.

Strong knowledge and or interest in AI

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Healthcare data.

Experience working with Medicare data.

Strong organizational skills

Ability to create effective users stories from customer feedback
