Title: Data Center Technician
Job Family: D&T
Pay Rate: 28.5/ HR
Hours: M-F 3pm -12am
In-Person : Location: 1905 Lunt, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
Potential to convert to FTE, If so, what rate: likely extending, possible conversion
Resource's typical working day: They will be preforming rack and stack on servers and network assets in a data center
• The Tech will need to install and test fiber and copper cabling
• They will also need to know how to terminate copper
• They will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs work
• Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred
• Work on ladders 7-8 feet off the floor
• Install servers that can weight up to 40-50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always working in teams)
• They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the client
• Very fast pace and busy data center environment
Years of Experience needed: Two years' working in a data center
(If they have been leading a team for several years they would not be a fit as they need someone with boots on the ground)
Level of Education: H.S Diploma
Systems/Software proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel and teams)
Certifications/Licenses: n/a

Top Nice to have Skills:
Outside accreditations
Customer service experience
Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred
Looking for some tenure with experience
