Data Center Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Data Center Engineer with an Active TS/SCI with CI Poly for a large company located in Herndon, VA. The Data Center Engineer will need to have strong experience in Linux, Networking, Storage and Virtualization. The Data Center Engineer (TS/SCI CI Poly) will need to sit on site in RTP, NC 5 days per week. Responsibilities for the Data Center Engineer (TS/SCI CI Poly): Ensure compliance with NISPOM and ICD Guidelines
Assist in the creation and management of System Security Plans (SSP), Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) documentation, as well as assist with the accreditation process of systems
Work closely with the team to build and support secure computing environments
Requirements for the Data Center Engineer (TS/SCI CI Poly): Must possess an ACTIVE TS/SCI with a CI Poly
Experience working on contracts mandating DIACAP, NISPOM, and ICD requirements
Strong experience with Linux, Networking, Storage and Virtualization (VMWare)
Experience performing routine network administration
Skilled in system patching and vulnerability remediation
DoD 8570 Certification: CISSP, Security+, CISA, GSEC, CAP, SCNA, SCNP, SSCP, GSLC, GSE Compensation for the Data Center Engineer (TS/SCI CI Poly): $120,000 - $165,000 depending on experience
