Our customers include some of the most prestigious names on the high street. We now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a Data Cabling Engineer.
Job Description
Are you experienced in pulling cables and terminating Cat6 and Cat5 cables? Are you ready to advance your career with training and certification in copper and fibre optics? We are looking for enthusiastic engineers eager to progress to Infrastructure Engineer roles or skilled engineers ready to start immediately.
Full training will be provided to help you obtain City and Guilds 3663 or CNIT certifications and the opportunity to become Security Cleared.
This is a field-based role involving direct customer contact, primarily working on large retail premises. You will learn techniques such as Cat6, Cat6a, and Fibre terminations, alongside dressing and presenting cabinets to a high standard.
You will be involved in installing high-level technology systems and will receive training on conducting "On Site" and "Desktop" WiFi Surveys using the latest software tools.
The successful candidate should have a positive and customer-focused attitude, be flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to their role.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of cable routing and containment types
- Highly motivated and customer-focused
- Ability to embrace new technologies
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow company processes and submit paperwork regularly
- Capability to manage project stock
- Availability for overnight installations or shifts
- Availability for some weekend work when required
- Competence to drive a company vehicle and possession of a valid UK driving license
Desirable Qualifications
- ECS/CSCS/EUSR cards
- PASMA certification
- IPAF 3A/3B certification
- CNCI or equivalent qualification
