Job Description
Only qualified Sr. Data Business Analyst candidates located near the NEW YORK, NY 10013 area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence (2-3 days in office 2-3 remote)
Education
•Bachelor's degree (BE, BTech, ME, MTech) or equivalent
•Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance or Financial Certification is a big plus
Manager Must-Haves
•10+ years of data business analysis experience and expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies
•7+ years of finance domain experience with knowledge of client financial metrics such as RoTCE return on tangible common equity
•Strong communication skills
•Exposure to stakeholders and senior levels of management communication
•Proficiency in tools like JIRA and Confluence
Skills
•7+ years of experience within the banking and financial services industry in business analysis, functional design, and documentation
•Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to explain technical details in a clear, concise manner
•Experience in preparing presentations and ability to handle communication at senior levels of management
•Excellent technical writing skills capable of producing high-quality requirements documents
•Expert in Agile Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, project management, release management
•Experience with querying analytics and reporting in MSaaS, MongoDB Hive databases
•Conduct in-depth data analysis using tools like SQL, Python, or Big Data
•Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis
•Experience in client financial metrics is a plus
•Experience in working with data-related projects is a plus
Responsibilities
•Apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies with attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on analysis of factual information
•Deal with most problems proactively and exercise latitude to solve complex problems, integrating in-depth specialty knowledge with solid industry standards and practices
•Handle variable issues with potentially broader business impact
•Apply professional judgment when interpreting data and results, breaking down information in a systematic and communicable manner
•Make a direct impact through close contact with the business core activities, with quality and timeliness of service affecting own team and closely related teams
