Job Overview: Lead the implementation of the organization's Data Mesh architecture, focusing on decentralized, domain-oriented data management to enhance data quality, accessibility, and interoperability across CJIS systems. Required Security Background: Active Secret Facility Clearance required at the time of application
Eligibility to obtain and maintain FBI security clearance
Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and Warrantless Search Agreement
Required Experience: 8+ years in designing and implementing data architectures, including data lakes, warehouses, and mesh frameworks
5+ years with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
2+ years leading and mentoring data engineering teams
Experience with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, Lambda)
Developing and maintaining ETL pipelines
Implementing data governance frameworks
Preferred Experience: Experience with FBI or DOJ systems
Criminal justice information systems
Data mesh principles in government environments
Data security compliance for law enforcement
Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field
Relevant certifications in data management, cloud platforms, or data governance
Key Skills: Advanced knowledge of data governance, cloud-based data infrastructure, and data mesh architecture
AWS expertise, particularly with data services
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Collaboration with domain experts and cross-functional teams
SAFe Agile methodology proficiency
