SEEKING DATA ARCHITECT
FULL-TIME 40 HRS/WK, ON-SITE IN WASHINGTON DC

Data Architect
The Data Architect is responsible for creating and maturing an enterprise data management capability that ensures our customer's litigating workforce can securely access mission-critical information anywhere, anytime, and on any device. In this position, you will answer to C-suite executives of a federal agency undergoing a full-scope transformation spanning people, governance, and technology, alongside all the usual suspects: impatient clients with high expectations, shifting executive priorities, and people using buzzwords they don't actually understand.

You will transform how our customer manages their data. As a data management demigod, you are dually capable of working at an enterprise level to create and drive enduring strategic change while also applying your chops to guide technical teams in developing practical, robust solutions. You effectively influence and educate others by engendering trust at all levels, negotiating stakeholder consensus, and cultivating a shared understanding of data management best practices thus enabling your customer to embrace a better way of doing business. Your greatest success will be striking a balance that keeps your long-term data strategy on track while efficiently managing data teams and operational priorities day-to-day.

Security:
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (which requires US citizenship)
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in computer science, data science, computer engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field.

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
  • IBM Certified Data Architect - Big Data
  • TOGAF 9 Certification Program
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Experience:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in data lifecycle management across DMBOK knowledge areas
  • 8+ years in a technical role designing and implementing database solutions, using major database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • 3+ years experience of lifecycle management with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Machine Learning, or RAG, and cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake
  • 3+ years experience with data mining tools and platforms such as Python, R, or SAS
  • 3+ years experience in implementation or model design using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Preferred: 5+ years experience in data management within a litigating environment
