Chicago's Northwest Suburbs of Illinois.
Seeking a Data Architect that will design and implement robust data architecture solutions using Microsoft Fabric within our client's organization. The Data Architect will play a critical role in modeling data, developing dashboards and reports, ensuring data governance, and leading innovation across data engineering and analytics teams.
What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience):• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture and data management.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including implementing end-to-end data solutions.
• Experience leading data architecture for mid-sized to enterprise organizations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, Power BI, and data modeling tools like Tabular Editor and DAXStudio.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:
• Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in larger IT environments (3000+ users, multiple domains).
• Industry certifications, such as:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Analyst Associate
- Google Professional Data Engineer
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
- IBM Certified Data Architect - Big Dat
What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position):
• Architect data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, with a focus on data modeling, dashboards, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
• Develop and maintain logical and physical data models to support business intelligence and analytics.
• Ensure data governance, quality, privacy, and compliance in collaboration with the Data Governance team.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to ensure data quality and streamlined release management.
• Build models from Lakehouses with Delta Lake and work with Microsoft Purview or similar tools for data cataloging and protection.
• Mentor data analysts and stay current with industry trends in data architecture and engineering.
Compensation Information The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $205,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
