Job Summary

The Data Architect (Data & Analytics) will design and deliver comprehensive data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. T

his role is critical for developing cloud data architecture, establishing Medallion architecture standards, and implementing secure and scalable data lake solutions.

Collaborating closely with internal teams, the architect will optimize Cooper†s data ingestion, integration, and analytics landscape, ensuring technical solutions align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Architecture: Design end-to-end data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric. Implement features such as Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Semantic Models, Data Flows, Notebooks, Deployment Pipelines, and Power BI Apps.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the delivery of technical solutions, manage Medallion Data Lake architecture, and establish workspace standards for data access, file size, and cost optimization.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with internal clients to gather requirements, advise on best practices, and help align data strategy with business objectives.
  • Data Integration & Ingestion: Architect secure and accessible multi-source data integration solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure data architectures are optimized for scalability, performance, and reliability using Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
  • Microsoft Purview: Define and implement Purview catalog best practices, covering domains, roles, access policies, and proactive monitoring for data quality.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain architectural documentation, including specifications, data flows, and implementation guides.
  • Training & Mentorship: Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to development teams for successful Microsoft Fabric adoption.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Microsoft Fabric and Azure innovations to enhance architectural designs.
  • Advanced Analytics: Assist with the implementation of cloud-based data warehousing, real-time analytics, and machine learning solutions using Microsoft Fabric and associated Azure services.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience designing and implementing data architecture with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, and Azure Monitor.
  • Expertise in implementing Fabric workloads (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Semantic Model, Data Flow, etc.).
  • Experience with data lake frameworks, data ingestion pipelines, and Medallion architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize performance and establish data governance using Microsoft Purview.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience leading technical teams.
