Job Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $225,000 (annually) with an employee benefits package.
General Job Description: Our client seeks a strategic and hands-on Data Architect to design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, high-performance data systems across the enterprise. This individual contributor role will be critical in aligning data solutions with business objectives, particularly within the mortgage industry, while enabling AI/ML initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data architecture, cloud-based platforms (AWS), and AI-ready infrastructure, and will be expected to collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to develop a forward-thinking data ecosystem.
Job Requirements: - Lead the AI/ML-ready data infrastructure design, supporting frameworks for large language models (LLMs) and generative AI, using platforms like Amazon Bedrock or Sagemaker.
- Define and enforce data modeling standards, governance frameworks, and best practices to ensure data quality
- Support data visualization and reporting initiatives using Tableau, ensuring the availability of clean, well-modeled data sources.
- Proven experience working in or with the mortgage, Mortgage servicing, or fintech industry
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or software development, with 3+ years in a data architecture role.
- Expertise in data modeling, schema design, query optimization, and SQL/NoSQL systems.
