Your role

Data Analytics Specialist - UBS Business Solutions US LLC - Morrisville, NC:

•Build data engineering models and ETL processes for financial applications on Cloudera CDH platform using Python, SQL, Hive, Impala, Git, and BitBucket.

•Enable data visualization of dashboards based on functional requirements using Tableau.

•Build CI/CD data pipelines using Jenkins and automate ETL workflows using Control-M.

•Liaise with management to ensure regulatory compliance.

•Engage with business users to explain issues and resolve heightened risk incidents.

•Apply knowledge of the trade lifecycle across various financial products as well as payment, clearing, and settlement services.

•Develop data engineering models, apply transformation rules to enrich raw feeds, and publish aggregated data sets for Tableau reports.

•Implement CI/CD and deployment using Jenkins to fast-track business model delivery.

•Build data pipelines, source data from SharePoint, execute custom Python scripts to make REST API calls using Microsoft Azure Active Directory, transform and load data into Hive tables, and generate visualization reports using Tableau.

•Identify bugs and roadblocks, perform root cause analysis, and apply technical fix to resolve production incidents.

•Perform data analysis and data modeling and build data lakes and cloud data warehouses.

•Work with SQL data analysis and data modeling, including query optimization; building ETL processes; data engineering concepts; Cloudera Hadoop CDH infrastructure (Impala, Hive, Hue, and HDFS); and, Shell Scripting (UNIX/Linux).

Your expertise

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), Math, or a related field of study, plus two (2) years of experience with SQL data analysis and data modeling, including query optimization; building ETL processes; data engineering concepts; Cloudera Hadoop CDH infrastructure (Impala, Hive, Hue, and HDFS); Python; Shell Scripting (UNIX/Linux); Jenkins; Control-M; and/or, Tableau.

•Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
