Position Summary As a Data Analyst at Oncor, you'll provide both broad and detailed analysis and technical support for the Project Management Design Services (PMDS) organization's business applications and for implementation of the new Automated Utility Design (AUD) solution. The role is responsible for cleaning, analyzing, interpreting, and displaying data for the purpose of creating dashboards, completing industry analysis and providing ad hoc reporting related to PMDS initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: - Work indirectly through senior team members, program managers, Information Technology, and other organizational teams to develop processes and for operational improvements.
- Design and manage dashboards to monitor and analyze PMDS application user performance and system processes associated with design.
- Design processes to enhance current Distribution PMDS reports and share point applications.
- Design reports to analyze relationships between data in various Distribution systems such as Work Management Information, Outage Management, and Financial Information Management.
- Coordinate with various work groups to investigate variances and data discrepancies related to PMDS applications, and technologies such as Maximo, Advanced Enterprise Geographic Information System (AeGIS), & AUD.
- Support Automated Utility Designer (AUD) application support and maintenance activities.
- Promote best practices by continuously evaluating methods, techniques and software used to fulfill project tracking needs within PMDS and make recommendations for improvement.
- Respond to internal and external requests regarding database development and support.
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential while ensuring compliance with Oncor Electric Delivery safety standards.
- Occasionally work after normal working hours to support system operations.
- Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements
- Create ad hoc reports for various PMDS Organizational needs by using statistical analysis tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns or trends in complex data sets.
Skills:
- Advanced analytic/computer skills.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, with focus in EXCEL.
- Database analysis and experience with SQL.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation tools such as Tableau.
- Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated organization skills.
Education & Experience:Data Analyst - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required and 4+ years of experience in data analytics, project tracking, or related field.
Data Analyst Senior: - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required and 6+ years of experience in data analytics, project tracking, or related field.
Additionally - Applicants with experience utilizing tools such as AeGIS, Work and Asset Management Transformation WaAM, and Outage Management System OMS are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants with Bachelor's degree in an analytical or electrical discipline encouraged to apply.
